I have often found Thomas on the counter getting himself his own drink of water. Since he is a climber, he will push a chair over and just climb up on the counter. He turns on the water and usually squats down to drink from the tap. As you can see from the picture he is so PROUD of himself. Look what happens when you get to #4. If they want something and nobody is getting it for them, they find a way to get it them self.

Amen to that! If my kids want a snack, Peter (9) will ask for a snack and then wait until I get something for him, even if I tell him to go get something that he can reach. Elizabeth (6) will ask for a snack and get it if it is something she can reach. Sarah (4) will not ask and will get something as long as it is within reach. Emily (2) will get a stool, chair or anything else she can climb on and will get get whatever she wants no matter how high I put it or how well I try to hide it. Then she leaves a trail of whatever she has found through the whole house so I always know what she has found and where she is eating it . . . while Peter sits at the table begging for a snack.
Trenton is always getting what he wants. He and Thomas would have tons of fun together. Thanks for the updates!!
