IT'S SNOWING IT'S SNOWING...

We were in the basement watching WALL-E when the kids noticed it was SNOWING outside! The boys quickly ran upstairs and put on their snow pants, gloves, coats and hats. All the while they're screaming and shouting, "IT'S SNOWING, IT'S SNOWING!!! You would think we were having a blizzard.

When we got outside this is what we found.
Being raised in Utah this was nothing to get excited about. However, the boys were ecstatic and in their eyes there was plenty of snow to play in. They had a snow ball fight. They even got out the sleds and tried sledding on the hill across from our house. They had a blast. Ryan says, "We used to make fun of people here in Virginia when we saw them all bundle up and playing in the snow when there was hardly any snow". I guess we are true Virginians, now!
This is a picture of our first SNOW storm last week. School was delayed 1 hour, but seriously it was nothing to get excited about. It melted within a couple of hours.

What a good Mom to actually take them outside. I thought that we might get a little bit more and so I told the kids to wait awhile. Before we knew it, it was all gone. You win the good Mom award of the day!

My kids were just as excited, trying to make a snowman to no avail. Hopefully more will come soon!

I too, feel like a dope for getting excited over so little snow...we get a lot in Ohio and this is so pathetic. However, we were just as exctied as you all were, although my kids didn't go outside because they kept hoping it would snow more. Have you also noticed how many of us posted about the same thing????
