Senior Games Day 2
Today was another great day for Grandpa Marcusen. He competed in 3 events. Unfortunatley, I forgot the camera. He took the bronze in the Standing Long Jump and the Javelin. He took Silver in the 50 Meter sprint. After the events we went to an Awards ceremony for the Athletes that have competed in the Senior Games for over 20 years. Way to go Grandpa Marcusen!!!!!

I was there to witness the 50 meter dash and Dad was coming on strong and he almost overtook the last runner and got the gold!
I also had a wonderful time in the last couple of days getting to see Ryan again and re-aquainting myself with my nephews Chris and Matthew. I also got to know Silvia and Bryce much better, what a wonderful pair they are.
This was a momentus games for me because I actually participated in the games with Dad watching something he and I have talked about for 20 years but which I never thought we'd be able to do.
BTW - I participated in Discus and was 11th out of 11.
In fact, my best discus throw would have placed me 2nd in the Men's 80-84 group, Dad's throw was just a few feet shorter than mine even though I'm 32 years younger. Way to go Dad!
Thanks Ryan for being there and the chance to share that time together, I look forward to being able to see all of your family in the future.
Todd Marcusen (Ryan's Brother)
